Sponsorship Opportunity!

Hello Friends and Family,

I wanted to let you know that I've started training for the Chicago Marathon, which will be #5 for me AND for the first time I will be running a marathon for charity.

This charity is called Cornelia deLange syndrome. (http://www.cdlsusa.org/) Children with CdLs typically suffer from severe multiple handicaps such as mental retardation, limb deformities, speech/hearing/vision loss and medical difficulties.

You may be wondering why I chose to run for this particular charity. After reviewing sponsoring charities on the marathon website I came upon CdLs, I started reading about it and just couldn't stop. I was greatly moved by these families and their amazing strength in the midst of such hardships. After reading through the CdLs website, I met a woman online named Beth who has a son, Will, with CdLs. This is her blog: http://bethsmiz.wordpress.com/ . I read every page and felt like I had a window into some of the intense difficulty they've experienced over the past 15 years. I've corresponded through email with Beth and she's amazing. She is also a runner and captains the 16 of us on Team CdLs that will be running the Chicago Marathon.

So, my goal is to raise $750.00 before October. (the marathon is October 7th)

If you would like to contribute towards this goal, first of all THANK YOU!! Second of all, here is a direct link to the CdLs Foundation giving page. https://www.cdlsusa.org/secure/donation.asp When you give online, please type in "Team CdLs Kim Ogorek" in the "Special instructions and comments" field towards the bottom of the form.

You can also buy t-shirts and hats to help sponsor this effort! Just visit the site of one of my corporate sponsors and check out your options!

Also, please feel free to forward this email to anyone you think might be interested in helping us reach our goal. I'm so excited to be part of this. Thank you for your consideration.

Thanks again and please let me know if you have any questions. I'll be keeping a blog of my training and sponsorship efforts on my website.

God bless,

Kim Ogorek
